About Jos van der Meché

Jos van der Meché is a lawyer and partner at AKD who is specialised in liability for damage to goods during transportation and storage. He mainly represents terminal operators, freight forwarders, multimodal carriers, logistics services providers and their insurers. His clients appreciate Jos for his strategic and often creative approach which is always aimed at resolving the case.

Jos primarily deals with cross-border cases. These include numerous cases relating to insurance law. In addition he regularly acts in cases on international disputes, for example with respect to ownership issues, arrests and liens.

Jos is a member of the Maritime & Transport Committee of the IBA. He is one of the authors of the CMR book entitled, 'International Carriage of Goods by Road' (2005).
