Jan-Willem Beijk joined AKD in September 2017 and he is the head of the tax practice group at the Eindhoven office. He advises both national and multinational companies and is mainly involved in tax optimisation, such as: - M&A; - Structuring; - Private Equity; - Inbound and outbound investments; - Innovation box and other incentives for innovation; - Transfer Pricing. Jan-Willem often acts as a trusted advisor to national and multinational companies. Where necessary, he is capable of translating important issues, such as growth, innovation, takeovers and other matters into tax opportunities and risks. For many companies, he is also their point of contact with the tax authorities. By maintaining good relationships with the tax authorities, he often succeeds in preventing unpleasant surprises. Combining sound tax knowledge and strong financial insight with the art of understanding what goes on within a company, allows Jan-Willem to provide a creative contribution to the realisation of optimum results for his clients. Jan-Willem’s style is hands-on. Jan-Willem graduated in tax law from Tilburg University, after which he studied European Tax Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In addition, he obtained a postgraduate Master’s degree in international and European tax law from Leiden University. Jan-Willem is often asked to teach courses. Over the past few years he has regularly given lectures, courses and workshops.
