About Huub Laauwen
A partner at AKD and heading AKD's tax practice group. Huub specialises in advising companies with domestic and international operations on national and cross-border tax issues. His wide-ranging practice spans providing advice on CIT and international tax treaties.
Huub advises high net-worth individuals and families and clients active in the sports and entertainment world in his role as trusted adviser on managing their global assets.
Huub has been an international tax adviser for over 35 years, during which career he was for some years Head of Tax Affairs at a company in the service industry with operations in over 50 countries. His combined experience as an international tax adviser and as an inhouse corporate tax consultant means Huub is able to assist clients in a wide variety of matters and put forward practical solutions.
He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB), the Tax Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), the International Fiscal Association (IFA), and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
