Barend de Roy van Zuidewijn

Barend de Roy van Zuidewijn (1959) heeft meer dan twintig jaar ervaring in de Insolventie- en Herstructureringspraktijk. Barend gaf tot 2001 als partner bij Caron & Stevens/Baker & McKenzie Amsterdam leiding aan de Insolventiesectie van dat kantoor, waarna hij de overstap naar AKD maakte. Hier is hij sectievoorzitter Ondernemingsrecht Amsterdam en voorzitter van de praktijkgroep Insolventie en Herstructurering.

Barend is als curator betrokken (geweest) bij spraakmakende faillissementen waaronder KPNQwest Finance B.V., de financieringsmaatschappij van het KPNQwest-concern, Internoc Holding N.V., Bobel N.V., Ring! Rosa Products N.V. en Reggehuys Management B.V.

Barend treedt regelmatig op als advocaat voor aansprakelijk gestelde bestuurders en commissarissen en hij is als advocaat van Chubb Insurance Company of Europe SE betrokken geweest bij het faillissement van Jomed N.V. en Ceteco N.V. Ook heeft hij als advocaat de belangen behartigd voor grote crediteuren in de faillissementen van DAF N.V. en Fokker N.V.
