Frans de Vries Lentsch (1948) transferred in 2001 from Nauta Dutilh to the Shipping, Trade and Insurance practice group of AKD.
He specialises in hull and machinery work, collisions, salvage, marine insurance, and shipbuilding. He has also developed a niche practice in yacht building and finance.
Clients represented by Frans include salvors, shipowners, charterers, hull underwriters, P&I clubs, shipyards and yacht-related companies.
Frans is a member of the IVR Legal Committee and of the Standing Legal Committee of the Association for European Inland Navigation and Waterways. He is also a member of the Legal Committee and of the Appeal Committee of the Royal Dutch Yachting Association.
