Sliepenbeek, Paul

Paul Sliepenbeek (1955) has been a partner at AKD since 1991. For 15 years he has been involved exclusively with Family law, particularly Divorce law. The magazines ‘Elsevier’ and ‘Quote’ have described him as an expert in his field. Mediating in divorce cases is a significant part of the work of his practice.

Outside of his practice, Paul was until the beginning of January 2003 a board member and chairman of the association of family law lawyers and divorce mediators (vFAS). He has also been chairman of IMFO, a training institute for mediation and family law.

Paul also works as a deputy judge in the appeal court in Amsterdam. And based on his experience as a mediator, Paul chairs the Appeals Board of Rotterdam’s Erasmus University.

In both 2006 and 2008, Paul Sliepenbeek was declared the Netherlands’ best personal and family lawyer by his professional peers, for which he received the Golden Hourglass.
