As a partner, Teije van Dijk is a member of the Construction and Property practice group. He has extensive experience in the field of construction and property law relating to private law, and focuses on complex matters involving government parties as well as private parties. His expertise also includes the relevant regulations that apply to semi-government institutions such as health care and education institutions.

With respect to property law, he specialises in property transactions, property development and related contracts, such as public-private partnerships (PPPs). In this connection, he has conducted negotiations and drawn up contracts commissioned by government-related clients as well as private parties for complex and extensive property development projects in the Netherlands.
He also specialises in procurement law, particularly with respect to matters concerning tenders for inner-city redevelopment and converting agricultural areas into urban zones. In addition, he has extensive experience in conducting legal proceedings at the Arbitration Board for the Building Industry, the Netherlands Arbitration Institute and the District Courts, where he acts on behalf of government authorities as well as property developers and contractors. Teije is the author of various publications on De Nieuwe Regeling 2005 (The New Regulation 2005), among others, and is co-author of a manual entitled ‘Contracten in de bouw’.

Teije also gives regular internal and external lectures on procurement law, the 1989 Uniform Administrative Conditions for the Execution of Works (UAV-1989), PPP contracts, and construction and property law in general. Teije is a member of the Construction Law Association (VBR), the Construction Lawyers Association (VBR-A) and the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (NvA).

He runs AKD’s Rotterdam office as its chairman, and he is also president of the Rotterdam Construction and Property Practice Group.
