Esther Broeren (1975) practises as a lawyer and specialises in subjects including external safety and related subjects such as fire safety. She is frequently involved, both as a lawyer and a teacher, in issues related to the law governing the storage and transport of hazardous substances, such as chemicals and explosives.
Her practice comprises (among other things) advising and conducting litigation on issues related to the Fireworks Decree, the External Safety Arrangements Decree, the Risk of Serious Accidents Decree and the guidelines of the Commission for the Prevention of Disasters (CPR).
She also focuses on other subjects in the areas of administrative and environmental law, such as (the registration of) pesticides and animal medicines and (the enforcement of) Environmental Management Act permits.
Esther regularly lectures on the subject of administrative and environmental law, publishes on subjects in this area and is editor of the magazine Journaal Warenwet ('The Consumer Goods Act Journal').
