Brauw, Vincent de

Vincent de Brauw (1947) transferred in 2001 from Nauta Dutilh to the Shipping, Trade and Insurance practice group of AKD.

He specialises in Maritime law.

Vincent works particularly closely with shipowners on such issues as the drafting and execution of contracts of carriage, charter parties, corporation/pool agreements, shipbuilding contracts, ship finance, corporate structures and offshore/oil and gas agreements. He also represents clients in national and international arbitrations, and frequently acts as an arbitrator himself.

Vincent is a membre titulaire of the Comité Maritime International, and also holds membership of a number of professional and legal associations. He regularly delivers lectures on shipping law and is frequently published on shipping-related issues.
