Boxel, Hubert-Jan van

Hubert-Jan van Boxel (1968) is attached as a civil-law notary to the Corporate Law practice group. In addition to handling all general notarial corporate law issues, his practice focusses in particular on (cross-border) mergers, acquisitions, and business participations and successions. A key feature of the practice is the provision of integrated services together with specialist lawyers. Hubert-Jan has a particular interest in cross-border corporate transactions; an area where a lot of dynamic developments are currently taking place. He regularly publishes on the subject of European company law and cross-border mergers.

In the summer of 2011, Hubert-Jan was awarded his doctorate at the Radboud University Nijmegen for his thesis entitled Grensoverschrijdende fusies van kapitaalvennootschappen naar Nederlands recht (Cross-Border Mergers of Capital Companies under Dutch Law). Hubert-Jan regularly gives courses on subjects associated with corporate law and is attached to several institutions as a lecturer. Furthermore, he is a member of the Combined Committee Corporate Law, an advisory body of the Royal Notarial Association and the Netherlands Bar Association.
