Industry

The manufacturing industry comprises a significant part of the Dutch economy. A large number of Dutch companies are directly or indirectly involved in the industrial manufacture of a wide range of products such as chemicals, electronics, machines, and alimentary products.

We operate on a broad base on this market, and specialise in numerous areas.

Petrochemicals
The petrochemicals industry is one of our focal areas in the industrial sector. Our work includes applying for environmental and safety permits for the production, transport and storage of oil and gas. We also arrange insurance matters and liabilities for large companies in the offshore and transport sector, providing advice as well as conducting legal proceedings. A major client in this sector include Vopak.

Energy
Energy is an important issue for us as well. AKD arranges for environmental permits and other necessary documents for big electricity companies such as E.ON, and we also advise our clients on their development plans, such as the extension of the Maasvlakte. In addition, we work for companies concerned in special types of energy, ranging from nuclear energy to solar energy.

Automotive industry
AKD provides support to businesses in the automotive industry throughout practically the entire production chain. These companies vary from tyre manufacturers such as Bridgestone to car manufacturers such as Kia Motors. In addition, we provide advice on financing and security to clients such as Volvo Financial Services and Scania Finance Netherlands.

Alimentary products
We advise enterprises in the alimentary products sector (e.g. Danone) on European and national commodities legislation, as well as on matters including advertising, intellectual property and product liability.
