Hospital in Roermond and Flevo Hospital in Almere. In addition, we
often focus on public-private partnerships such as independent
treatment centre chains, health care boulevards and dentists'
surgeries.
A wide range of advice for health care institutions
Our lawyers and civil-law notaries advise clients on
restructuring health care institutions and setting up collaborative
arrangements between specialists and management at health care
institutions. We also provide assistance in the financing of
construction in the health care sector, such as the Jeroen Bosch
Hospital in Den Bosch. This particular example concerns the
financing of new buildings (in collaboration with Fortis Bank), as
well as investments in medical equipment and the automation and
running of the hospital.
Medicines
We advise manufacturers, pharmacists and wholesalers on
the registration of medicines, permits, advertising, the
reimbursement system for medicines, maximum prices for medicines,
and (product) liability.
Animal health
Animal health is another major field of expertise at AKD.
This includes combating and controlling crisis situations such as
foot-and-mouth disease, avian influenza and dioxin. Other issues
