Transavia
Paul Klinckhamers, lawyer and partner with AKD, provided legal advice to Transavia airline company during the dispute with the Dutch Airline Pilots Association (VNV).
On Monday 25 August, the judge handling the preliminary
injunction which
Paul Klinckhamers had requested on behalf of airline company
Transavia ruled against strike action being taken by the company's
pilots. The Dutch Airline Pilots Association had called for a
strike after having been unable to reach agreement with Transavia
about the terms of the new collective bargaining agreement. The
judge supported Transavia's contention that avenues for negotiation
over the agreement had not been pursued to their maximum extent and
that a resolution should first be sought via attempts at
arbitration. The call for strike action was therefore
suspended.

Haarlem, see 'Staking van piloten verboden' (Strike by pilots
ruled out) in Het Financieele Dagblad of Tuesday 26 August.
