Takeover of Provaart Logistics
AKD assisted the purchasing party during its acquisition of the shares in Provaart Logistics B.V.
The acquisition of the shares in Provaart Logistics B.V. by the
largest German and French shipping companies on the Rhine, Imperial
Logistics International GmbH and Compagnie Française de Navigation
Rhénane S.A., is being described by the buyers as the start of a
fruitful partnership.
Imperial Logistics International GmbH is Europe's largest inland
waterway shipping company and the biggest German shipping company
on the Rhine. It runs a fleet of 600 towboats, of which it owns
129. Every year, Imperial Logistics International GmbH transports
46 million tons of cargo. Compagnie Française de Navigation Rhénane
S.A. is the largest French shipping company on the Rhine and
specialises in inland waterway transport. Compagnie Française de
Navigation Rhénane S.A. is part of the Atic Services Group and
holds a leading position in the European market for logistical
services. It transports more than fourteen tons of cargo annually.
Provaart Logistics B.V. manages a fleet of around thirty barges and
transports more than three million tons of cargo each year.
The AKD team consisted of Carlos Pita Cao, Diane de Vries, Jasper Verhoog and Laura de Jong, while Gjalt Elenbaas and Marieke Koster were involved in the due
diligence investigation. The notarial services were in the hands of
Monique Verkuilen and Sabina
