Takeover of Green Marine by Vitters Shipyard
On 3 February 2010, Vitters Shipyard B.V. acquired one hundred per cent of the shares in Green Marine Ltd. AKD acted as an advisor to Vitters Shipyard.
Vitters Shipyard is an established and respected name in the
world of yacht building. Since 1990, the Zwartsluis shipyard has
won a range of international awards for the yachts it has built.
They are designed by the world's best architects and constructed by
a team of skilled and experienced yacht builders.
Based in Lymington in the UK, Green Marine Ltd was founded by Bill
Green and Ian King in 1982. Green Marine Ltd is a boat and yacht
builder that specialises in advanced composite projects, such as
the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and the 'Ericsson', which took part
in the Volvo Ocean Race and the 'Prada' and the 'Mascalzone' which
raced in the America's Cup. They also build high-performance yachts
including the 'Leopard', 'Ghost' and 'Cinderella'.
The takeover by Vitters Shipyard is a guarantee that the
construction of impressive yachts of this kind will continue.
