Employee participation at European level
An international firm with offices in various European countries and elsewhere was advised by AKD on every aspect relating to the setting up a European company.
René Nieuwmans of the Employment Law group practice advised the firm, which operates at international level, about the setting up of the European company and the consequences for the employee participation structure. Particular emphasis was laid on the rights and obligations of the local Works Councils and the consequences regarding employee participation.
