| Roeland Bertrams and Henri Martius add their legal expertise to
the law firm of AKD Prinsen Van Wijmen as of 1 September 2007. They
are to join the Amsterdam office's Corporate Law team where they
will be focusing specifically on banking and share law. Henri will
also play a role as an adviser attached to the company's Scientific
Bureau. Recruitment of two experts of such legal merit adds impressive additional weight to AKD Prinsen Van Wijmen. Roeland Bertrams, previously with Clifford Chance, is a specialist in international private law, contract law, bankruptcy law, securities and property law. He is also attached to the law faculty of Amsterdam Free University and the author of numerous publications such as 'Bank Guarantees in International Trade'. Henri Martius, previously Professional Support Lawyer Property & Insurance with NautaDutilh Amsterdam and Rotterdam, is a specialist in general terms and conditions, property law, civil litigation and trade law, in which his specific focus lies on insurance law and e-commerce. He is attached to the University of Amsterdam's Business School and Maastricht University. He is among the authors of publications on general terms and conditions (Algemene voorwaarden, edited by Hendrikse, Jongeneel, Wessels), a practical explanation of new insurance law (Nieuw Verzekeringsrecht Praktisch Belicht, edited by Hendrikse, Van Huizen, Rinkes) and a practical explanation of civil litigation (Burgerlijk Procesrecht Praktisch Belicht, edited by Hendrikse, Jongbloed). He also acts as editorial secretary for the Dutch periodical on trade law (Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Handelsrecht) and as editor of the periodical on practical litigation (Praktisch Procederen). |
