AKD cooperates with Chinese CCPIT
CCPIT, the official organization for foreign trade promotion of China.
On 23rd Jan. 2009, AKD through Leo Boersen from its China Desk
signed in Beijing an exclusive cooperation agreement with the Legal
Affairs Department of China Council for Promotion of International
Trade (CCPIT).
CCPIT, established in 1952, consists of representative persons,
enterprises and organizations from Chinese economic circles. In
1994, it represented China to become a member of the International
Chamber of Commerce and used China Chamber of International
Commerce as an alternative name. There are 50 provincial
sub-councils of CCPIT in the capital cities of all Chinese
provinces and major business cities. And, CCPIT has 20 industrial
sub-councils, such as commerce and logistics, in Beijing. Besides,
CCPIT has set up overseas offices in 16 foreign countries
(including the one in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and
Macao Special Administrative Region) to strengthen the economic
ties between these countries and China. It is now the most
important and largest institution in China for the promotion of
foreign trade.
The CCPIT Department of Legal Affairs has been providing domestic
and foreign enterprises with legal services, including legal
counselling, conciliation, average adjustment, certification and
authentication as well as the ATA Carnet.
According to the agreement, AKD will cooperate with the CCPIT
Department of Legal Affairs to provide legal advice and service
related to the Benelux countries to Chinese companies.
